Florence and JC Engagement

Hi there, it is good to be back on my blog! By the way, I still went ons some adventures and took more picture while I was away from the blog, so let's get caught up!

The important news of the day is Florence and JC's engagement photos are ready and I will share some sneak peek of how the shoot went. We went to Hope B.C. which is a little over an hour and a half away from Vancouver. We went up to shoot at Othello Tunnels, however, the park was currently closed! Shucks!

I'm happy and proud of this couple because they will be tying the knot soon and I am glad to be able to be a part of their engagement photoshoot! It is so fun to capture the love between two people.

I tried something new after editing their photos, something out of the ordinary. I usually focus on brighter photos but this time I opted for a darker but warm photos. There are times I get tempeted to spend money on lightroom presets that will make editing faster, however, I opted to design my own presets to make my photos more unique and make it feel like a Mica Mijares photo. Don't get me wrong, I get inspired by other peoples presets, and I truly enjoy the work behind their creation. Howvever, I want to keep on learning the ins and outs of Lightroom and experiment with the extensive colour settings. Long story short, do not give into presets, explore and put your emotions and passion into your presets. If you want any tips on how to cater your presets in a specific manor, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail or DM if you need some advice or encouragement.
